That panel was designed a LONG time ago, but they’re about bullet-proof. But that’s the way specifically US law is written. Program manuals are easy to get online, but if you have questions about developmnet to make them jump through hoops, let me know.
I don’t think the sendRequest matters much, it just needs to be a valid request. I find it annoying that Windows doesn’t look at file headers when there is no extension, and that not every linux application tries to use an extension for ease of use.

After reviewing the code, I think there is room for improvement in the sendRequest function. Hiring posts must go in the Hiring Threads. As far as the open services, debugging points, it’s my home security admeco that’s currently installed.
You could also have luck with some debug pinouts on the device itself. If I can get a true test environment working that’s admco I’ll start with dynamic testing. The EnvisaLink board is more recent but if need to have your Vera more than about 6 feet from your develolment it’s probably a more robust option. So, the useful thing about this interface is you can see most EVERY single type of event that occurs on the panel and get time and date stamp, reporting code, etc.
I’m also working on some updates to the RS plug-in because I plan to migrate to developmnt soon because of it’s benefits. Honestly if it were the industry I was in, I’d avoid American companies like the plague because of the way the law is there.
Maybe part 2 of the post developmenr be decompiling the binaries: Are you still actively supporting it? In reality, this method is much, much cleaner as the RS serial interface provides near instantaneous updates on zone open and closures as well as full control over everything the panel can do.
Does that mean all the sensors are some industry standard stuff that would work with something different? Kudos for not giving up! The “RS” interfaces is called the “Home Automation” interface by Honeywell which is why it has so much functionality.
You might want to look at that if you want to use qemu-system I think it’s nicer than just qemu-static personally.

That plug-in has been available for awhile so it’s pretty well debugged.

Honeywell/Ademco Alarm Panel Plugin Development (RS)
I see there has been no activity in a while, so I would like to know current status of your plugin. The ECP serial protocol used to talk to the keypads has been reverse engineered in a few places it’s just bps ttl serial. It’s entirely possible the domain exists but only resolves and accessible within the corporate network.
If so, a few questions: It’s not built for it. Rs23 you miss your activation email? However, the pin is not saved, and there are no buttons directly on the dash like I see documented for the AD2USB plugin. After a bit of work, I have fixed it.
