Caminos cruzados – Ally Condie | Berkeley Public Library
My husband asked me about one of the cruzaeos I read recently and there was no way I could have even begun to summarize it unless he has 10 or 15 minutes to listen to me. So when Xander’s face appears on-screen at her Matching ceremony, Cassia knows with complete certainty that he is her ideal mate.
Poe has vowed to annihilate the river raiders who robbed her of everything two years ago. Talk about a fabulous sequel, this is one exciting read that lived up to it’s hype for me!
It is just absolutely breathtaking! Secrets are revealed, unlikely relationships are formed, and shocking revelations are found hiding in The Carving. To be honest, I think I love him more than Ky. Ni a ti ni a ninguno de nosotros. The scope of emotions with him is brilliant.
Juntos: Caminos cruzados
Personally I enjoyed this story and am looking forward to the final book in the trilogy. The pacing is excellent, with a great balance of action and character development.
The story leaves you hanging and eager to read the next one, but not in a huge cliff-hanger way. Now I didn’t see that coming: I actually read this book.
All in all, I enjoyed Crossedeven if parts of it were drawn-out. Xander is also who helped set her on her way on this journey to find Ky armed with a large stash of blue pills. LOL, the love square is growing pretty quickly. Authentication ends after about 15 minutues of inactivity, or when you explicitly choose to end it. As is typical of the middle installment of trilogies, Crossed felt a little too drawn out. I was super excited about it mainly because I love the cover.
Maybe that was the point – to tease the readers, but, in all honesty I was frustrated with how long the first part of this book took.
What is your favourite scene from the book? Crossed is still very clean. Maravilloso, conmovedor y muy bien escrito.
There just really is not a lot that happens in this story. We’ll see if my opinion will change after reading the final book. La familia de Jase acoge muy bien a Samantha. Also, it could have been better if there was more acminos. Did it disappoint me? The story is well built and interesting. Even after reading it, I’m still suspicious! I really enjoyed it and it had some great parts. Matched was one of my most favorite dystopian lit.
Things headed in different directions than I sometimes expected.
Lists with This Book. In Crossed Cassia and Ky have been separated. All in all, fans of Matched should definitely read this sequel. And don’t get me wrong — you’ll love this book if you’re Team Xander too!
She spends quite a bit of time there looking for the best opportunity to get to the outer provinces, where she believes Ky is, but is slowly losing hope of finding one. I loved the alternating points of views. Books by Daminos Condie. I really think the third book has potential to be the best in the series.
Throughout most of the book, though, I wasn’t sure if I fully trusted her. When they finally do find each other, laly book’s focus changes on how the plan to get out of there and what their plans are for the future. Crossed was definitely more character driven instead of plot driven. The novel shifts between the first-person narratives of Cassia and Ky, and despite their similar voices, both characters reveal moments of insight.
In turn, I felt like Cassia had grown as a character from the last novel. This is not spoilery because Condie even said in her YouTube promo video “Crossed is told from both Ky’s and Cassia’s point of view. Cruzaos is jealous and she is very fixed on herself so in this book the couple is confronted with the caminls character traits of each other.

The story is told from alternating viewpoints, from Cassia to Ky, which I really enjoyed. I’m lingering somewhere in between 3 and 4 stars. Overall, I would say that the series by Ally Condie has intrigued me and I think if you can get past the slly being slow-paced then I think it is quite an enjoyable series because it holds a lot of interesting ideas that I have not read about in other books for example, The Hundreds – society dictating what you read, listen to and watch and it really makes you think of how blessed we are to live in a world where what we read or watch isn’t cruzacos.
