Pendekar Sukarma had a school and taught Cimande in the Tarik Kolot area. His family traces their lineage directly to Embah Kahir. From this stream we draw some of our Cimande concepts as taught by William Sanders with the additions he made to the material.
These Jurus are similar in some ways to the jurus we train cmiande. Sanders taught these Jurus as they were taught to him and also expanded upon the information by adding his own input based on his training with Malterer in the 5 animal styles before passing them to Guru Besar Jerry.
Cimande Silat in Sydney/Australia?

They were taught by Kang Cecep with a delivery system that makes them some of the most effective Jurus we had ever seen. Kang Cecep had some of the details that make Sikat in Silat Panglipur devastating. We are continuing to learn more from Kang Cecep, who is as humble as he is deadly.
Cimajde is very knowledgeable about all West Javanese Silat and has been a great help in learning where some of the other pieces of our art originally came from. This gave us the opportunity to learn more about our past and see some of the influences other West Javanese styles such as Cikalong and Sabandar have had on some of the teachers in our lineage.

It was the interactions with some of these other influences and styles throughout our past that built the framework for where PCK is today. Guru Ismail Sujadi has been sharing some of his knowledge of Cimande with us. Guru Ismail has a wealth of knowledge and is a very skilled teacher and great friend to PCK.
He has shared cimane Cimande and Cimande Macan Guling with us at various times and has impressed everyone with his skill, humbleness and kind spirit. Cimande is a West Javanese system believed to have been created by Embah Kahir in the ‘s.
Cimande is one of the most widely spread styles ssilat Pencak Silat and is considered to be one of the oldest, and one of the styles created by the ethnic Sundanese. While Embah Kahir is credited sikat creating Cimande in most circles, it is also said that Cimande had been around for quite a while and that he is the teacher who made it more widespread. Cimande training begins with the practice of Jurus Duduk or seated Jurus training with a partner.
Once the practitioner develops forearm strength from seated Jurus training they are combined with footwork. The training also includes sword jurus as well as Tepak Salancar.
A code of conduct is adhered to by practitioners and there are many traditional ceremonies that a student will be involved in as training progresses. One involves signing an solat stating that they will adhere to the ethical code of conduct. This is believed to make the students arms impervious to pain. The student is then required to recite certain mantras at which point they are then considered a student.
This initiation was recieved by Guru Besar Jerry, Guru Darren, Guru Derek and various other students and teachers, some in more than one lineage of Cimande. Our Cimande comes from multiple sources that all stem from the main Embah Kahir Lineage.
