Lots of the examples and comparisons from the regular meditations are extended in the book. I didn’t pay for the book, so it’s headsppace that I feel like I’ve personally been ripped off or something. Would you like to tell us about a lower price? I am in the “anxiety” day series currently and getting a lot out of it. It is so noisy- I want a break from my thoughts. There was more information there than I cared to listen to, but I think it would be good for those looking for technique or guidance in those specific areas. And honestly the stories were really valuable in filling in the gaps between his guided meditations in sme app.
Listened to audiobook narrated by the author. Sometimes it was inspired and the thrill was exhilarating, other times it was painful and the result was humiliating.
I liked his simple method of beginning with “Take Ten” which is 10 minutes a day of a simple technique. Near the end, he has a great chapter on different forms of meditation beyond sitting.
Therefore, while if you’re a Headspace user or someone who has been practicing meditation for some time, you will be unlikely to take away a great deal, I still think you will enjoy the book.
One problem was that in listening to the vast puddicome of meditation practice that Andy Puddicombe has undergone he has stayed in many monasteries for a year or so where 18 days practice is commonI could not help but wonder how I was supposed to get to the same place as him in 10 minutes a day. Overall, the book is a nice addition to the Headspace program.
I received a copy of this book geadspace free through Goodreads First Reads. Loved this book, has a lot of useful techniques to use during meditation.

But I still felt like I was missing something when it came to meditation. This is a great book for anyone who wants to look at meditation differently. Maybe I’m being silly. I would recommend it to anyone who could use mindfulness and meditation to help with psychological stress is as well as physical stresses and disorders.
The book also repeatedly references the author’s website where very little information is available without registering. I gave it my best but just could not get into it at all.

Beyond that, it’s hard for me to recommend it further given my prior exposure to his ideas and in-depth learning of his concepts.
After the 10 minutes of guided meditation a day, your mind feels nice and relaxed. I was putting in so much effort just to handle daily operations and manage our growth that I was frustrated and exhausted. It is a delightfully written book, very witty, interesting a a fast read.
I think it just annoys me a little because people have presumably paid for the book–why make them also pay for the web content, when they clearly go hand headspcae hand? Puddicombe is ‘doing for meditation what someone like Jamie Oliver has done for food. Deepak Sandhu yes there is an app called headspace on ios and android.
I read “Get some Headspace” on the side which helped me improve my meditation even better!
